The work "I Know" is an installation based on the principle of distillation, discussing the relationship between memory and cognition. The shredded paper is placed in the distillation barrel as fragmented information. After distilling, the air of the information essence goes into the condenser tube to experience cooling, depositing, and resolving, and becomes a fresh nutrient in the personal cognition system, and it transfers to the host electronic system that exists as the brain to be re-encoded. The brand-new generated information could flow back to the distilling process, and thus a closed loop of information in-put and out-put is built. We are different identities with independent thinking abilities. Everyone has his own metalanguage system and means to decipher the world.
